Why there’s no simple price list
If you’ve searched stairlift prices online, you’ve found a mess of numbers that don’t agree with each other. Here’s why: no two staircases are the same, so there’s no one-size-fits-all price. Any number we’d give you before seeing your stairs would be a guess — and we’d rather be honest than guess with your money.
The four things that set the price
1. Straight vs. curved — the biggest factor
A straight stairlift uses a standard rail cut to the length of your stairs. A curved stairlift needs a rail that’s custom-built to follow every turn and angle of your specific staircase — measured by us, then manufactured for your home. That custom work is the single biggest reason curved stairlifts cost more. Straight stairlifts are the most affordable option; curved stairlifts are custom-quoted for every staircase.
2. Your stairs themselves
Length matters, but so do the details: turns, intermediate landings, spiral sections, and tight spaces at the top or bottom all add complexity. A long straight run costs more than a short one, and a staircase with multiple turns costs more than one with a single corner.
3. Model and options
We install Bruno stairlifts — the Elan (SRE-5000) and Elite (SRE-2010) for straight stairs, the Elite outdoor (SRE-2010E) for exterior stairs, and the Elite curved (CRE-2110) for curved stairs. Which model fits your needs, plus any options you choose, affects the final number.
4. Installation complexity
Most installations are straightforward, but some homes add work: narrow staircases, unusual top or bottom landings, or an outlet that needs to be added nearby. We’ll spot all of this during your evaluation and it goes into your quote — no surprises later.
Why we don’t publish prices
You’ll see price ranges on other dealers’ websites, and they always come with the same fine print: “actual price depends on your staircase.” We skip the game. Publishing a range that doesn’t apply to your stairs just sets the wrong expectation in one direction or the other.
The only honest number is the one written up for your stairs — and that’s exactly what a free in-home evaluation gives you.
