Stairs shouldn’t decide how you live in your home. Sunrise Stairlifts sells, installs, and services stairlifts and wheelchair ramps across Western Pennsylvania, New York’s Southern Tier, and eastern Ohio — and with over 20 years of experience, we’re the people who come out to your home, measure, and do the work ourselves. Every visit starts with a free in-home evaluation, so you get straight answers about what your stairs actually need.

Straight Stairlifts

The most common stairlift of all: a chair that rides a rail up a straight run of stairs. The rail mounts to your stair treads — not the wall — and most installations are done in a single day. When you’re not using it, the seat, footrest, and armrests fold up out of the way. If your staircase goes straight from one floor to the next with no turns or landings, this is almost certainly your answer.

Curved Stairlifts

For stairs with a turn, a landing, or a fan-shaped bottom step, a custom curved rail follows the exact path of your staircase. Each rail is measured and built for that one stairway, so a curved stairlift takes longer to arrive and costs more than a straight unit — but it means never having to ride halfway and transfer again. Many of our curved jobs also let the chair park around a corner at the top or bottom, so your hallway stays clear.

Outdoor Stairlifts

Built to handle rain, snow, and cold, outdoor stairlifts make porch steps, garage entries, and deck stairs manageable again. They work the same way as indoor units but are weatherproofed for life outside, with covers for the seat when it’s not in use. If the outdoor steps are the barrier between you and your car, your yard, or your mailbox, this is worth a look.

Wheelchair Ramps

Modular and portable wheelchair ramps get you over entry steps without construction — no permits, no contractors, no torn-up porch. We install EZ-ACCESS ramps that can be set up quickly and reconfigured or removed later if your needs change. Many of our ramp jobs are funded through home-modification waiver programs, and we’ll walk you through that process too.

Service & Repair

Already have a stairlift that’s beeping, stalling, or just not moving? We service any brand — ours or someone else’s. From battery replacements to full repairs after storm damage, we come to you, diagnose the problem, and fix it right. We also offer annual maintenance to keep your lift running the way it should.

Not sure what fits your stairs? That’s exactly what the free evaluation is for. We’ll measure, answer your questions, and give you a straight recommendation — no pressure.
